With the recent release of her EP entitled Skin, Goldilox has rapidly established herself in the music scene. Goldilox received her first bit of Canadian fame with her 2011 release of her single, “My Name Is Kay.” Drawing radio popularity. Collaborations with Diplo, Steve Aoki, Cobra StarShip and Pusha-T followed. The singer turned the heads ofA&Rs at Interscope Records. In 2012 signing a major record deal with Interscope with the help of One Republic’s lead singer Ryan Tedder. Although after 2.5 years and no releases with the majors, Kay was frustrated and ask Interscope to drop her.

In December of 2014, Goldilox lost her best friend. To help heal, she wrote “day in and day out”, determined to release more music – something her best friend Stephanie never got a chance to do. On naming her EP Skin, she says, “because it’s the first time I’ve gone to that level musically. It’s raw. It’s real. I’m a real person that’s far from perfect, but I own it. That’s my skin.” Her album will be released soon!
